This was actually the song that led some comedian on a podcast interview at the time to lead everybody to "hate" Nickleback. He said, "If you knew Nickleback, you would hate them just as much as I do". And it was because he often jeard this song multiple times a day. I love some of their songs but what I can't understand is how people can allow someone "famous" to dictate who they like or don't like.
